Returning Results to our Community
HSRI aims to return the results of research projects back to the communities from which they come. They distribute this information, in English and Spanish, through various methods, such as:
- Hosting Health Awareness Days
- Providing health education at health fairs and bringing applied research results to local events
- Creating collaborative meetings with researchers, advocates, and healthcare providers
- Teaching and inspiring classes of elementary, middle, and high school students
HSRI creates dissemination tools to meet the needs of our communities, using local languages and tailoring information for our audiences' level of education and experience. HSRI has presented research results using charts, photos, graphs, art, web-based platforms, and presentations at community meetings. We will continue building our networks and community through research.
